Rick Eldridge - Keyboards

Since I'm a band leader and composer, I wanted to really understand the other voices. So, I learned how to play the bass, drums, guitar. And in the last several years, I've learned tenor banjo and play Dixieland, as well.

I 'm primarily a jazz pianist. In fact, I just recorded a jazz quartet CD with Adelaide Ruble, but I play Dixieland Mardi Gras. Just recently I've played with the Federal Jazz Commission, Dixieland Direct and Olde James River Jazz Band.

Dave Brubeck, Vince Guaraldi and Bill Evans were probably my biggest influences. Then when Solo Flights was released, Brubeck listened to it. He even had his son listen. What an honor.
